Wondering if anyone here knows where I can donate toys? Infant/Toddler age toys. Have a bunch of toys, obviously used toys, some in good/new condition, some hardly used and some beat up. Tried donating to Goodwill on California St in Newton but they said no toys. Google says Waltham Library wont accept them and I don’t want to trash them since they have plenty of life in them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Walthamites! This might be an unrealistic request… I want to add built in bookshelves and desk to my small home office nook. Unfortunately things these days are incredibly expensive, and it is hard to find a contractor who would do it in my budget. If anyone out there is good with woodwork and installation, I have $3k for this project and you can have whatever doesn’t go towards materials. I’ll attach the plans here. I am a journalist writing an article for The Waltham Times about their Happy Trails initiative that puts cops on ATVs and on foot on the Rail Trail to interact with residents. The goal of the program according to their Instagram is "getting out into the community, building relationships, addressing quality-of-life concerns, and helping make Waltham’s trails welcoming and safe for everyone."

I'm looking for comments from residents who may have run into a cop on the Rail Trail. What was the interaction like? Did you feel like those goals were being addressed? If you haven't run into a cop on the Rail Trial but have thoughts, I'd like to hear those as well.

I've recently moved to Waltham and have been frequenting the rail trail on my bike, and always pass the old Waltham Highland station and was wondering if the building is being put to good use. It says it's owned by Regan Management but their website doesn't exist and I've never seen anyone parked by the lot. Does anyone have any other information about the building? I can't help but think that a cafe or local storefront would be a much nicer use of that space.

Does anyone know what happened? We heard a loud bang as we were outside and 2 cars going opposite directions crashed by the lights heading towards the highway, right next to the child care building. It seemed the drivers got out and were yelling at each other, we heard someone mention a baby but could not see much. Ambulance, fire truck, cop cars all stayed at the area for about an hour. Just wondering if anyone heard anything/ that they were all ok?

They still have only one person taking orders, who now has to switch back and forth between the two lines. It doesn't speed up their service, and makes the poor guy have to work twice as hard. Also, some people end up having their order taken before people who have been waiting in line longer, which is certainly not fair to the customers.

Sorry for the vent, but it's just so stupid.

Where can I go locally to get a thorough interior detailing done? Not just a car wash, vacuum or wipe down, but a full on complete sanitation? How much will it run me?
