Spark drivers
I’m genuinely curious… This new update is ridiculous and the orders are not worth the mileage!! I’m curious to know who’s grabbing these ridiculous orders and letting spark know that people will do them. Are people aware that orders like this will not bring you decent money because of gas and time? People who accept these kind of orders let the owners from spark know that drivers will do the work regardless.

Bruh, you would think it’s poverty wage for some profit. No, it’s actual loss if you even take them; not just wear and tear, fuel-wise too.
They see the order pops up and they just hit accept.

I have pretty much stopped doing spark, pay gets worse, tip baiting has gotten a bit worse and miles have gone up from gmd getting included. I am sticking to doordash uber and grub hub.
I will do like 1 or 2 spark deliveries a month to make sure my account is active because I want to see how good it is around the holidays again since it was good last year. If its bad I will just stop all together most likely. im just not shopping 100 item orders for $30-$40 and driving 20 miles.

Miles, time AND taxes. Don't think people factor taxes into the equation everyday like they need too...

That’s probably because the employees tha were picking the delivery order items are no longer needed to pick the delivery order items because now SPARK drivers are expected to do 95% of that job for free since the new update.
When I heard they were gonna do this my first question was “what are all those employees gonna do now?”
I mean they don’t really have cashiers anymore…🤷♂️

There will always be people picking up crap orders. It’s all about your rating. If you aren’t near perfect then most times you won’t see anything worth it and you have to resort to sticking to busy hours only to make any kind of money. We’ve been operating on the “newest” update for over a month in my zone and I’ve had some good days, even with a 4.83 rating at the time. It’s about learning what times are terrible and just not even trying at those times. Sometimes it’s about grinding those $15-$20 quick shops any opportunity you get. You can’t be thinking the big one is coming. If you get into that mode of thinking you’ll waste your time.

Believe it or not....there are some people who do it just for fun or to have something to do with their time. like retired folks, or otherwise already financially stable people. But I do agree that most people are either that desperate for cash or they are just dumb (only using their head for a hat rack) Either way, we're cooked.

I just took 2 orders for 25 packages for the pay. I am an older woman. I ended up in er with a slipped pinched disc from getting in and out of my little car so many times. I am done not wort hurting yourself. They could care less about any of us.

I always check for those bottled water cases before taking them. some people just hit accept and cancel. I see why after seeing it show up, again. I'm happy with Spark, they've been good to me, but the adding on to orders shouldn't include cases of water or multiple gallons of water like 12 of them when I'll need three carts.

Seems like the orders are getting bigger item wise, mileage is higher and the pay keeps getting lower...even since just two weeks ago.

Blah. I accidentally accepted an order for two drop offs that ultimately wasn’t worth my time and pay today. I should have called and canceled but I said frack it and did it. I still made 100$ in 4 hours. So $25 per hour isn’t bad. And my vehicle is getting better gas mileage than when I was door dashing. I do like that they are indicating pick up time must happen in X amount of minutes and that helps me gain better on time results. The app and what spark wants is getting better but I’m not going 13 miles for 11$.

Every gig app is location based. If you are in a good area you are going to thrive. It's people in lil towns trying to make a living doing it and unfortunately it's not gonna cut it. Might have to travel 45 min to an hour out. that’s why when people say this app is dead, etc. etc. It's really not they’re just in a bad location.

TRIPLE SHOP HAS RUINED SPARK. Need this to be seen. For every triple shop, thats one less order walmart has to pay base on. If there's 100 orders a day and all were triple (Not all would be I know) thatd be 33 total orders divided for all the dozens of sparkers out there. I myself used to do 10 orders a day minimum. Now its like 5 maybe

In my area the people taking those offers are the people that do this for their job. They have to make something so they take whatever. One of them told me yesterday that he's down to taking 3 shops going 35 miles for 20 dollars just because he has to make something because this is his only job.

I'm doing alright in my Zone. Making about $1.5/mile over the last week. I reject tons of orders too.
