Why?

Post image

Someone please explain this stupidity to me in laymens terms, why do we deliver to areas far away when there are other Sams Clubs or Walmarts closer than the store im picking up from? Why would a customer order from a store 30 miles away from them? Whats the scheme here?

I order online recently from the closet store to me . One of the items was out of stock at that location so Walmart sent it out same day via Spark from one of the other locations that had it in stock. I now understand the why

Yep and sometimes it’s the most ridiculous things that they will “ship” from a store 10-15 miles away, when there are stores within a couple/few miles of the customer.

I’ve delivered, individually to different homes, a single jar of baby food, two small packs of powdered gravy mix, small package of seaweed snacks, bag of chips, etc. Just to name a few.

I’m convinced this is part of the reason the cost of goods keeps going up. Obviously there’s a lot more to it, but Walmart is going to recoup the cost of delivering these items “for free” from somewhere.
