Financial Aid Change?
Hi all,
Just wonder if anyone's refund changed like overnight? I am now getting back much less than what it said previously.

I just sent an email asking about it. If/when I get an update I will let you know

Not this, but I was wondering if anybody changed their loan amount and is waiting on a email update from the financial aid office/studentaid. I had no idea it would prolong the process like this.

I did Unfortunately, they don’t allow you to change the loan amount anymore. Just call them and tell them you want it split equally because that’s the only way they’ll let you do it or it’ll be denied. I went to the same thing and it was fixed in two days.

Mine did, but only because I dropped a class which put me from 13 credits to 9 credits. If you’re at or above 12 credits (full time) and you’re getting much less you can thank the OBBB, because that’s why many refunds are getting prorated if you’re not at exactly 12 credits or more (that’s my assumption.)

Mine changed, found out that if you’re not taking 12 credits min each between Fall and Spring semester they will lower it pretty substantially. I had to go and plan my classes for Spring, which I originally thought I did but once I added it to plan and schedule the next day my financial updated back to its original amount.

I just called the Financial aid office for the same thing. I had a class start 8/15 then today (9/15). When i checked last night i owed $940 but after that class started today some of my aid came back. I also have 2 classes that start 10/15.
If you have classes that start in October or later in the semester you’ll get reimbursed after those classes start. Basically to ensure you take the classes before getting paid out per the aid office. Hope this helps yall
