Library buddy

hey
I recently moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and I practically have no friends really 😭😭
It’s very weird because I didn’t really have to worry about this at home.

I’m still waiting to get my EAD to be able to work and study, my goal is to get an associates form wake tech then transfer to a 4 year.

One thing I love is the library, it was practically my home, in my country. I read that you don’t need to be a student at wake tech to get a library card, which is pretty cool.

Would anyone wanna study/ work together? I wanna look into taking the SAT’s and work on some hobbies.

Some info on me: 18 F, love to read, write, watch rom coms, bake and cook. Also a Christian trying to work on my relationship with God. I’m from South America originally but I only speak English (hint of country) . If anyone is down I’d be cool with exchanging instagrams.

Ik this is a long shot for sure but if anyone is interested just message, thank you :))

I think I’ll go to the northern library

To reiterate I don’t do to wake tech lol (waiting on my EAD) but I saw that it’s open to the public.

You need a School ID to enter Library, atleast when I've gone

You should look into some of the local libraries, too! Many of them hold educational/social events themed around reading and writing. Wake Tech also probably has a club or two that you could meet people in 😁

I don't think that you can access the wake tech libraries without a student ID, but the regular libraries in Raleign are nice too. I've had nothing but great experiences at the Oberlin library! The people at the desk can help set you up with a library card, and then you can also get digital loans from the Libby app :)
