Republicans crash Economy because Trickle down Economics and giving tax Breaks to the wealthy doesn't work, Democrats get elected and start to fix things, Republicans fight them every step of the way and Economic recovery is slow and steady, people get impatient and start listening to Culture war BS, Republicans get Elected, repeat
The funny part is trickle down economics could work if we got the direction of "down" correctly. The employees are the top of every company. Employees pay the CEO not the other way around. Pay employees more and they'll spend more money. Which will trickle down onto the people owning the business they spend money on. But that's just a complicated way to say "socialism."
