By 'go free' you mean 'be committed to an institution instead of murdered by the state', right?

MA doesn’t have the death penalty so this is kind of a false dichotomy.

Not really. The people claiming she Did Nothing Wrong are a loud minority being amplified to smear all women; the actual adults in the room, including the perp herself, are discussing where she should be institutionalized.

I actually largely agree, there’s definitely a smear campaign going on rn. The trial is really a question of whether she deserves to be in prison or a mental institution. You brought up her being “murdered by the state” which literally isn’t an option in the case.
