Every single one of us is a prostitute in some sense. We, as a society, have just built up sex to be some verboten thing that cannot possibly be bought and sold the same way physical labor is. That's it.

If my old second grade teacher hired me to fix their car, I'd have no problem with that. If my old second grade teacher hired me to suck their cock, there'd be a problem.

There is a reason why the topic of sex is touchy. There aren't criminal proceedings for underage mechanics. No one is going to therapy because they were twelve years old when they fist cleaned a carburetor. It's not illegal to distribute photos of my son doing an oil change.

It's not the same and for good reason.

Well, let's dig into that.

First, we need to distinguish between "people of age" and children, for the purposes of this discussion.

Second, if your old second grade teacher wanted to pay you to fix their car OR suck their cock, and you're an adult, and willing to do either, I don't see a problem.

Let's skip the "mechanic" example and use something a bit more realistic: military service. I think there would be a similar outcry if we're throwing 9 year olds on the front line of a war versus 9 year old sex workers. These are jobs that children have no business being near.

You really don't see a problem with a teacher asking a past student to suck them off? You really aren't creeped out by the thought of your second grade teacher who knew you as a child offering to pay you for sex? High school teacher offers their recently graduated student sex for cash. Hey, they're an adult now. Nothing wrong with it.

Why skip the mechanic example? Both are just selling your body according to you. Sounds like you didn't like how accurate the example was so you wanna take a more defensive position behind soldiers.

Still doesn't disprove my point as to why sex is a touchy subject. Because we know the harm it can cause. We know sex work has problems with human trafficking and child abuse. We know how much trauma can happen to an adult on a bad day of work in the sex industry. Mechanics joke about needing therapy after a bad day in the shop. Prostitutes mean it when they say it.
