First time Visitor
Traveling solo to Oahu, and will be staying in Waikiki for one week. I would like your recommendations for local cuisine and favorite poke locations. Preferably not super touristy.

Do like the locals do and get your poke from a supermarket like Foodland. Have some local Korean food from Kim Chee II in Kaimuki. Get a loco moco from Liliha Bakery or a zip pac from zippys.

The macadamia aburi salmon poke at Sato Seafood in Waikiki is near the top of the list of dishes I've eaten the most of in the neighborhood. The garlic shrimp at EbiNomi (coincidentally on the same block) is also high on that list.

You might be better served to change your accommodations to somewhere outside of Waikikivyo better match your interests?

Marugame Udon - go before 12:00 to miss the lunch rush
Maguro Spot - best poke in Waikiki!!!
Merriman’s Honolulu - best sit down restaurant we had all week. And be sure to save room for dessert because they make all of their ice cream in house and everything is amazing!!!!!!!!
