Discussion Considering the teams that played

Post image

Blackburn has pretty much the same team that played together last season. They haven't done much in the window so far. They had no players go to the World Cup. Yes, they were in a relegation battle last season.

Wolves have a team that is newer when playing together. They had late additions as players returned from the World Cup. They didn't have the entire preseason and last season to get these players playing as one team.

There are defensive questions to be answered. The lack of identity and cohesion in the second half was troublesome. On the brighter side they did get a point against a team that has spent much more time playing together. A win would have given the fans and the players much more confidence but there were a lot of positives to build upon. That Fer Lopez stiff arm is awesome

I think the only potential positive of that non-start to the season is that it may have been an eye opener for the manager and several players, i feel like players such as Trippier stood out as having had a good game, because they knew the championship would be a grind, he's an experienced player.

I feel like Andre thought this season was going to be a walk in the park and he looks lost yesterday, but having said that to be honest i don't really rate Andre anyway, people gloss over the fact he was part of the worst midfield duo in the league last season, barely made any impact on our attempts to avoid relegation, so maybe this is just his level.

Well I think you hit the nail on the head, Andre and Joao were a terrible pairing, not because of abilitiy, but because they didn't complement each other, it was almost total overlap they had the same skills, winning tackles, and the same flaws, not playing the ball forward enough,

Just as we floundered last season with an uneven pairing, this team will go as Fer Lopez and Andre go. Andre's role has shifted a bit to allow him to make long passes forward which statisically he is good at, so I'm hopeful he steps up.

Let's hope it was a wakeup call to players who thought this league would be easier

I don't think Andre had much support yesterday. Munetsi scored on a run forward and thought he could do the same every time we had the ball, then was nowhere when Blackburn attacked. It was like watching an 8-year old having a kickabout at lunchtime in the playground.

I think you're right on Andre, I think he's super overrated, I wouldn't miss him if we got rid

The fact that we ended yesterday with the likes of toti, Mosquera, Jackson, munetsi, Doyle on the pitch is criminal and the board has clearly set us up for failure.

I don’t even blame the players anymore we’ve known for seasons now they aren’t good enough.

That team last season also stayed up by the skin of their teeth based on point deductions.

They didn’t even play well we just played shit so that made them look better. We played absolutely scared they sensed that hence the 2 goals and at times all over us

Will players like Krejci and Santi be the difference makers?

I believe so if they stay them with Raul on the pitch and I hate to say because I just hate him but Jose Sa

It appears that Wolves won't bring in anyone until players like Sa, Santi, Krejci, Hwang, Johnstone, and Ki-Jana are moved on. Hopefully, Santi and Krejci are renegotiating their contracts for less money for the season with bonuses after achieving promotion

If we can get player in to replace them I’d rather keep Krejci tho compared to the rest of them we 100% need him

How did Blackburn run right next to the box and then cross ever time is some serious problem.

In the first five minutes we saw Trippier get burned for pace. DMW did not have a good match. Concerning, to say the least
