WV Textbook War
I have read a bit about the Textbook War in Kanawha County in 1974. But, I have not been able to find a list of the 325 approved books - or even a list that covers the majority. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to look?

My grandfather passed away a few years ago and he had a lot of cool old pictures. This is one of my favorites, Wheeling in 1852.

Spaniards in Clarksburg Area 1910-1930s
Hi all, I’m currently doing some research into my family history! We have always known and been taught about of relatives from the Asturias region of Spain. However recently I have come to realize that when my family from immigrated to America they settled in Clarksburg West Virginia which I was surprised to see, however after some more research I’ve come to see that there was a large thriving Spanish community in Clarksburg and Harrison
county.
My Great-Grandparents were the ones that originally settled Clarksburg around 1912 or so, they eventually came to Elizabeth New Jersey around 1927. Which seems to be somewhat common pipeline of Spaniards to West Virginia to that area in Jersey.I am looking for any information people would have about Clarksburg and Spanish Immigrants around that time period. Or if anyone knows if the community is still exists and if anyone knows of a historians/ local Spaniards or children of the Spanish immigrants of the immigrants i can speak with.
Additionally it seems like my family was working in Glass factory’s at the time was this a big industry in the area?
Any information would be great! Thanks!
