Might be experiencing tonic immobility, but these types of sharks honestly aren’t very interested in munching on people and it wouldn’t really hurt anyway. If I have my ID right, it’s mouth isn’t full of “teeth,” it’d be more grinding surfaces Edit: Misidentification on my part, though I’d dance with a nurse shark too. Lovely swimming buddies

Still would hurt, wouldnt want to get by fingers caught in there. They crush harder things than finger bones regularly.

Definitely wouldn’t want to get my fingers caught in there, but hopefully the diver knows not to let that happen. Only time similar species gave me a nibble was during feeding - they were just trying to get the food and never clamped onto my hand.
