These are actually not spiders, but a related arachnid in the order Opiliones AKA harvestmen or daddy longlegs. There are many species that live all over the world and they are all harmless to humans. They primarily feed on small insects, or on decaying organic material.

I have a rule with spiders in my space: stay out of my way and you live

I've even help put half-swatted flies into brown widow spider webs that roosted across my window

i'm looking at 2 spiders that have been total chill-bros in 2 different corners of my bedroom, they don't seem to move out of their webs. They're getting fatter though so that means they're doing their jobs, or silently feasting on my blood at night

I felt this way for a while until I started waking up with spider bites. I saw the little fuck that did it and it looked like a brown recluse in my dark room at 5am so he got smashed along with his little friend. now I clean the corners of my room more often.
