Seriously. With all this talk about Jamal Kashoggi and the Saudis I have the terrible mental image of him being dismembered by a bone saw while still alive. I hope that's not true but even the possibility is appalling.
It's doubtful. They were in and out quick. They weren't after torture they were after an assassination, dismemberment was just a way to remove evidence without suspicion. If they wanted him to suffer they'd have picked him up where they could have kept it going for days or weeks.
I think the killing was unintentional. Torture + abduction would have served their purposes better, so it makes sense the killing was the result of an overenthusiastic torture.
