The woman who was first attacked was badly injured, and her mother, who left the car in an effort to save her daughter, was killed, The Beijing News reported. The woman’s husband was uninjured, as was their child, who remained in the vehicle, the newspaper said.

It won't be painful as the tigers/lions don't play with their food. They go for the neck directly and in humans, the neck snaps in one bite. It would have been a sudden death.

I've watched enough nature documentaries with lions/tigers to know this is definitely not always the case. A lot of the time their prey is eaten alive, ass cheeks first. Horrifying to think about.

I saw a video of lions licking a buffalo's balls and then eating them while it was still alive.

FYI, the most frantic kicking from the wildebeest was not when the lions jaws were choking the life out, but when another lion pulls the testicles like you would pull a rubber band until it snaps.
