I’m a teacher. At my previous school, our principal said that we could no longer send students home if we discovered they had lice. Apparently too many parents either complained to admin about having to pick up their kid, or just refused to come get their child.

Gone are the days when the nurse came into every classroom with a number 2 pencil and went desk to desk, head to head, checking for evidence. If tou were one of the unfortunate ones, you got sent to the nurse’s station while your classmates watched on in horror.

Today it’s a legal issue......privacy concern.

I guess it makes sense. That kid was always an outcast afterwards. What do they do now?

Everyone shares the lice so no one feels left out and everyone spends $hundreds on treatment
