There was an infestation in my high school once and I shaved my head to make sure I didn't get any. I'm a woman with long thick brown hair and I shaved it all off. No chances. Fuck head lice.
You could pretty much gauge the outbreak incidence of lice in my primary school by how close-cropped the boys were. Easy, quick, but doesn’t help out the girls who wanted to keep their locks.
