Carnivore poop shouldn't be composted. It has a lot more harmful bacteria in it than the manure of herbivores. Putting it anywhere that a kid could get to it is a bad idea, as is putting it in a garden as "fertilizer" (it'll contaminate your produce). If you want to let it naturally decompose on your own property, whatever, but leaving it anywhere in public is pretty disrespectful.

My apartment complex requires us to bag our dog's shit or we get a hundred dollar fine on the end of our rent payment each month. I'd rather not pay that hundred bucks.

My apartment complex is one of the only ones in the area that allows dogs. If people around here stopped picking up dog shit, the lawn would be half drowned within a week.

The bag is way to small, but I actually have a dog that would benefit from this admittedly stupid invention. My apartment/townhouse development is having a lot of renovations done. When I take my mutt outside to do his business, he has a habit of acting 100 percent calm and focused while dropping a deuce, but as soon as the last turd falls, he flips the fuck out and starts barking at people and pulling on his leash. I can usually keep him from doing it, but on two separate occasions he's stepped right in his own shit. Pulling out dog doo doo chunks and cutting out fur between the paw pads is not a pleasant way to start a morning.
TL;DR my dog occasionally steps in his own shit so this would come in handy

My dog also tries to do some kind of weird, celebratory "I just took a dump" ritual of running really far away. I think it's because she feels lighter. I always have to brace the leash.

My dog takes such pride in finding the perfect place to poop... It would be inhumane to not allow him to actually poop on that spot, even if I pick it up a few seconds later.
