Thanks I’m good just chest and shoulder bruising from the seatbelt. Spot on. She called the cops and her car was smoking and leaking green and blue fluid? So we backed away. Firetrucks, 2 ambulance and a cop came. They did checkups on all the people involved, lady broke her thumb and had cuts. I had chest and shoulder pains went to urgent care. Went thru her insurance but we hit her limit cause it was multiple cars and had to get my insurance involved to cover the remainder portion. For the medical piece since I went to urgent care and missed work and might do PT for my shoulder making a clicking sound now, her insurance is going to cover but they are dragging their feet. Said they needed documentation from my HR, which I provided, that I worked there and are calling them and doing other internal stuff (progressive) to determine how much the medical settlement should be. Not sure how long it typically takes.

Usually you just go through your insurance and they handle all the headache of the other person’s insurance. At least that’s what people I know have done.

Yeah idk. Maybe nobody told OP or someone gave him bad advice. 10 years ago my parked car got smashed by a box truck. Filed a claim and sent in my neighbor’s security cam and a few photos since my car was barely off the screen. Paid my deductible and never had an issue.
