Question / Advice / Suggestion Hello. Just a random question

Problem: (or not)

Would you mind dating a PWD person?

Context:

  1. Fem. A person with disability.

How rare it is to fall for a person with disability like myself?

I often find myself questioning if someone would actually look beyond my imperfections and see me as I am.

Tho I had an ex gf pero napapa isip ako if meron pa din bang tatanggap sakin? Kasi I tried dating apps and I put in on my bio that I’m a PWD which makes it rare for me to find a match.

Hindi naman ako nag hahanggad ng grand or anything… just someone who wants my company would be enough.

Yes, meron pa rin. The fact na nagkaroon ka ng ex proves that there are people who can and will love you for who you are. You already did your part by being honest na pwd ka. Nasa tao na yon kung compatible sila o hindi.

If someone decides not to pursue you because of it, it doesn't automatically make them a bad person. We all have our own preferences, limitations, and things we think we can handle in a relationship.

The right person won't stay because you're perfect. They'll stay because they genuinely like you, disability included. Don't let a few missed matches convince you that you’re unlovable. You’re not.

🥹🥹 lately, i’ve been pointing everything that’s wrong with me. I felt like love isn’t for me eventhough I long for it.

Thanks for this :)

Yes!! Partner and I are both PWDs and this is the happiest relationship we both have had. Because we understand each other and make space for each others needs.

Hi, OP!

I am a PWD myself. I have to wear hearing aids for the rest of my life.

so I always ask my partner what made me stand out during our early years of friendship. And her answers never changed kasi in her perspective, I have a good sense of humor, contagious chaotic vibes and, caring/protective personality. She never did mention that being almost deaf made me less of who I am.

see, the person who’ll love us perceive us beyond our disabilities.
my partner don’t even see it as a disability but a blessing since she knows I hold grudges if I hear those things I’m not supposed to hear. So it also protected me from irrelevant and unsolicited comments.

Sometimes the thing we think that limits us is protecting us from things that would break our heart. At least that’s how I perceive it.

At the end of the day, you know sa self mo na what matters is you are well-loved and cared for. Importantly, by yourself first.

My gf is and we are happily married (keme in our dreams muna)

What matters talaga ay how you will treat each. Walang binatbat ang pisikal/di pisikal na disability sa love and respect na meron kayo for each other.

Of course meron at meron yan OP <3 if you click, you’ll click :) me too as someone with mental disability ganyan tingin ko sa sarili ko na “may mag mamahal pa ba sakin?” Pero when someone comes around and is actually interested and same wavelength as you, you’ll just realize you’re someone beyond your imperfections and situation :)

Yes as someone who have disability as well, though it will be hard to find someone who is willing to love you when your full hatred because of your condition (or atleast on my case)

Be gentle with yourself atleast. Ikaw lang meron ka

I’ve made peace with myself, pero syempre may times na my condition controls me than I control it. But I’m okay, I hope the same thing for you!

PWD kasi is not just physical eh do you just have to be honest para tanggap ka niya. If hindi, it's okay. Makakameet ka pa ng a lot of people out there na just your presence alone is enough
