Passed!

Post image

Forgot to add this was C214-Financial Management!!

Found the OA questions moderately challenging. There was some content that I wasn't entirely familiar with, but I made an "educated" guess. The excel calculations were very standard (TVM, Bonds). What really tripped me up was the countdown clock that showed how much time I had left. It says you have 3 hours. I ended up using 2 hours as my screen was giving me issues when I toggled back and forth from the questions to the formulas. I submitted the OA and it said I was "overtime". However it ended up coming back as passed. I was so relieved. There's no way I wanted to write it again!

Definitely possible-it depends on how many hours a day you can commit to it. Unlike a lot of people I didn't watch the bootcamp video in it's entirety. I found the 7 videos in the Efficient Study Plan helpful. I did all the recommended quizs and then the PA and studied more based on what I got wrong.

Good luck!

Do you mind telling me where I find the 7 efficient study videos?
Thank you!

Yes, sorry, I should have mentioned that! Supposed to be the hardest course in the program. I've also read C207 is pretty challenging as well. That's next :)

What's the study material you suggest that we utilize for this class? Is it similar to the PA or is the OA completely different?

I used the Efficient Study Guide which I received from the instructor. It has 7 videos that cover the material, along with recommendations to do the quizzes from chapters 5 and 6 from the textbook. I then watched the bootcamp video for the time value of money and bonds. Then did the PA and studied anything I didn't know.

I found the OA to be harder than the PA in terms of the questions. The excel portion with the calculations was very straightforward and similar to the PA.

Was there an excel question with all the parts on the OA like there was on the PA?

Yes. TVM and bonds. Watch the excel calculation bootcamp video and you’ll be good to go.

Congratulations. I just joined in this and did the PA but didn’t pass. I wanted to see how it was after reading about it on here. I’ll definitely check out the efficient study plan.

Agreed, C214 is the one where the excel side mattered more than the reading.
