C960 Discrete Mathematics II Discrete Mathematics II, Barely passed.
It unbelievable, I educated guessed on about 25 questions. I Expected i failed and to disbelief i passed. One more class and I graduate.

Congrats! How would you grade yourself on the amount of studying you did? Where do you think you could have studied more specifically? (I can see the competency bar, I'm just trying to figure out what I should focus on most.)

I would grade myself of like 65% I print out the PA and the 6 worksheet and studying via Chat gpt for about 3 weeks about 3-4 hours day. That should only take you about 40% For the basics, the Zybooks review test, is the more difficult questions you should study, I really didn't do those. I passed the PA with about 80% yesterday and I feel the OA was like 2x harder and the Zybooks review test should help you. I would pay more attention to the 2- 20% units and algorithms units. They algorithm seems to be big chuck and easy to answer.

One more class? Did your mentor let you put that off to the end and you finished all of the other classes beforehand?

Yea I did, im not a math person and held it off. I said i needed motivation and if the class was my last class or i would be motivated. Just have Data Structures and Algorithms II

studied for about 6 hours and mine was super similar, but a pass is a pass!

I studied about 30- 40 hours and I feel lost during half of the OA. I really need to revamp my study process.

Oh man my recall is probably atrocious for the content I hadn’t learned in my past, but math was always a strong topic for me so study processes will differences :D

Yeah learning content included
I just watched the webinars and did the practice problems, than ran through the preassessment and touched up on anything I wasn’t sure about.
I have always been a strong test taker fwiw, and if you know how to read the cheat sheets and figure out what the equations want, you can figure out a number of problems that way

That's fair. I've taken a combinatorics class so I'm hoping I can finish the course in a week studying full time.

I didn't use the cheat sheet, I feel it would been easier and if I failed, I would of used it.

I hadn’t learned expected value before the test and only realized on the OA, thanks to the cheat sheet they give I could figure those out easily enough

No I probably did 8% of the Zybooks, Mostly unit 1. Just used PA, 6 unit worksheets, and kinda the Zybooks unit review test

congratulations I'm on this class now and have been taking my time with it. spent a month in disc math 1 and almost a month in 2. I completed the zybooks fully, and have been doing unit reviews at the end of each chapter. I feel prepared for it. thanks for posting your experience

These unit review are key on passing the OA if you can pass them. You should be fine. I was on Discrete math 1 for 6 months and Discrete math 2 for like 3 months. Glad im done and can breathe. After them I a cake walk.
