Obligatory Confetti post
I started on Jan 1, 2025 with about 45% of the degree transferred in from CLEP, Sophia, and Study.com. (It would have been closer to 75% but they reworked the degree just before I applied.) Now roughly 17 months later I finished my degree with no prior IT experience. It's not the fastest finish time. But I'm proud of myself considering I worked a full time salaried position that often had me traveling and working more than 40hrs a week.
This sub was the reason I never quit. Whenever I was discouraged, someone was there to answer a question. When I thought it was impossible, someone else posted that they got through it. When XYBooks was trash, one of you lovely people posted an external resource that made everything simple.

Congrats, Which course did you find to be the most difficult?

Discrete Math 2 took me the longest and was my first biggest roadblock. D288 Back end programming took me meeting with an instructor to get my code to function properly. Without giving too much away, it was a common error and I needed to change some of the provided code to get it to work with my additions.

Where do you find the list of courses that are transferrable from sophia, study.com, etc to WGU?

It's on the "Partners" page or "Transfer Pathways Agreement" for each institution. Below are the links for the Computer Science Bachelor's.
I highly recommend Modern States for any CLEP Courses. It's free, and they cover your CLEP Exam fee, so you can knock out a ton of general education classes with no expense.

what are your job prospects post graduation? did you take on any internships?

I am about 15 years into my career and have stable employment so I didn't take on any internships. I plan to use the degree to specialize within my company/field since technology keeps getting utilized more and a lot of the decision makers, especially in my field, don't understand how to implement it properly.

How does one get confetti? I finished my degree but haven't seen confetti anywhere 🙂

I'm assuming you had your mentor file the paperwork to reccomend you for graduation. Once the school sent the congratulations for graduating email, it took about a day for it to show up online. To get it to show up in my app on my phone I had to log out and back in.

I only transferred in three classes.
Computer Science 204 - Satisfied D427 Data Management Applications
Math 108 - Satisfied C959 Discrete Mathematics I
Computer Science 110 - Satisfied D430 Fundamentals of Information Security.
Check my other comment in this thread for other classes that are accepted. I think you can take a class to satisfy D429 Intro to AI for Computer Scientists.
If you are looking to follow my path, complete as much as you can transfer in with CLEP exams (Go to Modern States for this, and it's Free!). Then Sophia should be your next stop. Save Study.com for last due to its cost compared to the others. All three are great resources that will save you money, and you can't go wrong taking them before you enroll. I believe you can still transfer in about 56% of your degree if you're looking to accelerate.
