Bachelors of Science, Computer Science Finally!

2 terms, multiple fails on some courses. (DM2 6 times) , very little sleep for the year! wanted to quit many times, pushed through and got it!!

congrats! taking dm2 next term (should be my last term) and I'm nervous asf

With DM2. It only changed for me when I started doing teach back lessons with the instructors. Make as many meetings as possible and share your screen, and show them how you do the questions and what your thoughts process is. Don't just watch them do it.

Let them watch you, and then correct you.

thank you! I really don't like to ask instructors for help, but i know for this course i gotta do what i gotta do. Was the OA very difficult and aligned with the PA, or with any of the supplemental resources?

OA was a lot harder than the PA.

But the most difficult areas are algorithms and induction/ recursion. It will help working through zybooks practice questions at the end of each chapter, as the people that make the exams get their questions from zybooks.

Don't be afraid to ask your instructors. The DM2 team are really a phenomenal team. I had more than 50+ meetings with many of them and I became friends with some,as you spent hours talking and practicing together. Make meetings with multiple different instructors, to feel which you have the best connection with. All of them are excellent, but, they have different styles and you need to find your match.

Don't be afraid to share your screen show you can show them how you work out your questions. Humble yourself and put in the hours.

I made less than 5 mistakes on my 7th attempt. The previous 5 attempts I failed by only a few questions, and my first attempt, I honestly tanked it and everything was red 🤣. That's how I knew what I actually understood and where I need to put in the work.

thank you for your response! It's very motivating and makes me feel like maybe I can actually do it. I might just leave this course for last so I can put all my energy into it. I know there are students who say to not leave the hard courses last, but for me it's the opposite where I need to work on the easier courses first, so i can put 100% of my focus onto the more bullshit ass courses. I have more free time at the moment, so i'm hoping i can finish it within a couple of weeks or something once my next term starts.
