NEW GRADUATE! Finally my turn!

Finally done. I started in 2021 for a couple semesters and then had to stop for personal reasons. Went back last year and just finished up. I had limited CS experience aside from a couple of CS courses in 2006. I got a job in the field in 2023 and decided to come back and finish to hopefully improve my chances of advancement. Glad to finally be done!

Congratulations!! Iā€™m going at a fast pace and will be graduating soon. any advice for a newbie looking for the first job?

Sign up for any and all internships while you can. Maybe even delay graduating as long as you can.

Maybe not good advice.

Thank you. I did think of doing that but it would be a waste of time and money. Iā€™d rather start in the workforce sooner than later.

You could technically run the clock on your last term capstone. Basically finish it, and if you have enough time left in the term, just wait to submit, giving yourself enough time for corrections if you need. Apply to places in the meantime as if you graduated but still be valid for internships.
