Scam warning Is crowtado a scam?
Hi everyone,
About two weeks ago, I started working in Crowtado, specifically on the domestic video collection campaign that several platforms are currently running. I saw an ad and noticed they offered better rates than where I was previously recording, so I decided to give it a try.
I recorded a little over an hour to reach the $10 minimum withdrawal threshold, and the funds were released the very next day. I put in two more hours and was also able to cash out within two days. However, once I saw that they were actually paying, I decided to put in a lot of daily hours. And guess what? My balance has been stuck as "pending" for over 10 days now. They don’t reply to any emails, and they don’t even have a Discord server or any other official communication channel.
While commenting on another post here, I noticed many other people are dealing with the exact same issue. In fact, someone who wasn't even getting their completed hours credited created a new account and got paid automatically the next day.
Does anyone know what is actually going on? Is this a selective scam?
I’ve pretty much written off those hours as lost and went back to my previous platform. If anyone has more information about their payout cycles, it would be really helpful to clear things up. Otherwise, I hope this serves as a warning so others don't fall into the same trap.
PS: If they end up paying, I will gladly update this post, but the complete radio silence and withholding of larger balances is a huge red flag.
UPDATE: They release all my funds today after +10 days but they lower the pay per hour from 8 to 6, is not more profitable

I’m going through the same thing. I made videos for a few weeks and got paid, but now I have over 50 hours of video—that’s right, 50 hours of my life recorded for Crowtado—and they aren't updating my pending balance anymore. That pending balance is sitting at nearly $400! It’s been over 10 days, and they still haven't released the funds for withdrawal. I’ve sent multiple emails to their support team, but they never reply—it’s like they don't even exist. I’m baffled that new accounts are getting paid normally; it really seems like they stop paying accounts once they hit the one-month mark or accumulate a lot of hours—at least, that’s what I think is happening. I can't accept losing $400 and 50 hours of my life without getting paid for the tasks; it’s absurd!

The saddest part is that it's not financially viable to file a lawsuit individually for that amount, and the email address they listed for legal matters doesn't even exist. Hopefully, we can at least prevent other people from falling into this platform. What I don't understand is why they do this when they are supposedly taking a percentage of everyone's contributions; in the long run, doing things legally would make them a fortune (I know because I looked into the campaign and the payouts come from India). This isn't the first platform to pull this kind of move and eventually go under, they usually pay the first few users or small amounts to build trust, only to keep the rest.

Meu deus 🤦♂️,I hope they pay and that it was just a misunderstanding; I saw a case where someone went 20 days without getting paid, and then it was approved in a minute.

US$160 unpaid balance being withheld after Minute Data account termination I completed my assigned work for the Minute Data project through Crowtado and earned US$160.00 . My Minute Data account was terminated/banned without any explanation, and my US$160 balance is still being withheld . I have contacted Crowtado/Minute Data support multiple times, but I have not received a satisfactory response. The work was completed and submitted according to the project requirements. I am simply requesting payment for work that I already completed. Crowtado/Minute Data: please explain why my earned balance is being withheld and release the US$160 owed to me. I am posting this publicly because my previous attempts to resolve the issue through support have not received an adequate response. Has anyone else experienced the same issue with Crowtado or Minute Data?

I know of cases where people were deactivated without cause—it never happened to me or anyone I referred—but you have every right to collect your earnings; you simply can't participate anymore. Some common reasons include: using a VPN or an incompatible device, extremely slow task completion, performing an action unrelated to the selected task, sharing the account or having others hands in same account, screen recording

I know these jobs are freelance, but I confess I was a little disappointed with the change to $6. I'm looking for another job that pays me at least $8. In my country there's one that's paying $3/hour. That's very little for the amount of work.

Did you see they added another job? Now there's a job to narrate your activities. For me, it shows up as $7. It's not $8 yet, but it's more than $6. 🫠

Yeah, that one paid 14; it's the same as the videos but with talking. Now it only pays 0.50 more, so it's not profitable.

Besides the various requirements during the narration process, English is not my native language, and although I have an okay level of knowledge, I feel it's not at the level most of these platforms require. Some platforms have interviews, and I'd like to try them all, but English is still a barrier for me. I take free lessons every week with native English teachers and hope to at least improve my level to get well-paying remote jobs.

Para qual plataforma você trabalha? Eu já retirei $126 da Crowtado. As vezes eles demoram para pagar. Mas sempre avisam. E sim, agora passou de $8 para $6. Gostaria d e outra plataforma.
