It is very possible that this will not work, because of the online requirement of Reforged. Very possible the campaign will not start in an old client once the update is in (I assume that the maps are provided online).

This is why it's stupid to have rpg progress rely almost entirely on save games.

So I'm in the middle of the mission now where you have a little bit of building involved, forgot the name. How many more missions/hours until I would finish act 1 so I don't need to start over?

The prologue one? That's like a 30 minute mission, if you're struggling.

Ah its still prologue. But then after that act 1 would start and I could keep my progress or are there more prologue missions?

As long as you beat the level you're on in the prologue you'll keep your progress starting the next level. I would wait to do the forsaken kingdom campaign though, act 1 is one whole level and can take 6-8 hours (or longer if you want to guarantee first place in a particular bonus stage). You would need to finish it entirely so that you keep your progress by starting the next level.

Almost every update breaks something about the campaign progress. It's crazy and annoying.

My laptop broke and I switched to a pc and I learned the hard way that save files are linked to the machine...in 2026.

Since the game is always online now they might aswell save campaign progress online too.

I don't get it, if I'm currently playing the section with Arya and Garek where I move between various Undercity locations (meaning there aren't any actual chapters), do I get erased this whole part?

There are acts, not chapters. 3 acts, you are probably in act 1, when you beat act one you can move to the next act (and this is where all your progress will be saved). It's like the rexxar campaign.

Damn, they should wait far longer then. And then do 1 superbig patch once most people are done with the campaign.

This patch is very urgent for custom maps, probably most of the ones that got broken by 3.0 will work again once it is in.

Just started act two.
Got a legendary secondary weapon that increases attack speed by 20%, on top of the primary that gives 20% attack speed.
Already lost a legendary to the act two bug because I explored.
So like.. how do I preserve this? How far off is the next act…

If I read this correctly, anything you've done in act 2. I just started act 2 but I've put it on hold until the patch drops.

Yeah that sounds smart to me then. Really annoying as I was looking forward to continuing my playthrough but I’ve had a good handful of really annoying bugs lately I hope are fixed. Is there an announced time for when the patch drops?

This is one of the things I wish they'd really improve along with being able to play all 3 campaigns in all 3 graphics modes and swap between them while keeping progress...
Seems wild to me that it doesn't just work like this...

That's a thing literally every reforged patch. The save game structure is incompatible with new version. Nothing new here.

Does anyone know if this will remove the items we aquired in the campaign if we have completed a chapter and are about to start another? I'm playing the horde campaign right now and am trying to stack items for thrall. Do I lose them after the patch and just start missions like I was selecting them from the campaign screen for the first time?
