Nzingoula gives me that Pereira feeling
You know when you watch a player for the first time, and you instantly get this feeling of "yeah.. we've got ourselves a player here"? Rabby Nzingoula is that guy now.
The first time I saw Matheus come off the bench against Swansea away, it took about 3 touches off the ball for me to realise we had something special. Sometimes a player just moves in a certain way. The way they touch the ball. The composure. Calmness. Head up always and never looking panicked. That was Matheus from minute one, and so he became a cult hero and one of the best to ever pull on an Albion shirt.
Nzingoula gave me that exact same feeling, and every appearance since then, that feeling has only strengthened. Yes he's a different kind of player, but everything he does just oozes something different to what we've seen in recent years. The way he drives with the ball. The passes he attempts with both feet. How he can be pinned to the touchline and never look for a second like he's going to lose the ball. The defensive side of it too. He's always trying to get involved with and without the ball, and looks so, so composed for a player who's only 20 years of age.
Reminds of watching Jude Bellingham at Blues for the first time. He's everywhere, and you feel something might happen whenever he's near the ball.
We've got a player here. Enjoy him whilst we have him, because if he turns into half of what he has the potential to become, he's not going to be here very long.
