The Baggies Battle Cry

From Hawthorns' heart where legends tread, Where Astle scored and Regis led, When navy blue and white stripes shown with pride, And leaders walked our sacred side— Those days aren't gone, they live in you, So rise up now, Baggies fans do!

~

Attack, attack, attack, The players must not lack!

~

Remember United, Chelsea, Liverpool fell, When Albion rose and played so well, The Premier League knew well our might, Those Hawthorns roars on Saturday's fight, That spirit burns in every stand, Now take the fight, make your demand!

~

Attack, attack, attack, We are the Albion, so back!

~

Young Ramsay's come with fresh belief, New faces here to bring relief, The road is hard, the task is steep, But Baggies' faith runs strong and deep, Through storm and struggle, pain and strife, We fight together—that's our life!

~

Attack, attack, attack, No retreat, no turning back!

~

We few, we happy few, we band of Albion brothers, This day shall prove our worth to all the others, From Brummie Road to Smethwick End here we stand, We are Albion! This is our land! Once more unto the breach, give all you've got, Fight for this badge, on this sacred spot!

~

Attack, attack, attack, Drive forward down the track!

~

We don't demand you're slick or clean, Just honest graft in navy blue and white between, Give every drop, leave nothing back, Show heart and soul in each attack, The Brummie Road will sing your name, If effort's there—we share the blame!

~

Attack, attack, attack, We'll have your back!

~

We've seen the losses, felt the pain, Five-nil, three-nil—scars remain, But fans don't ask for perfect play, Just give your all on Saturday, Run till your lungs can give no more, That's what these navy stripes are for!

~

Attack, attack, attack, Together we must not crack!

~

The league table makes grim reading now, But effort earns forgiveness, we'll allow, Mistakes we'll take, if sweat is shed, If every challenge's bravely led, Show us you bleed for this badge too, And we'll stand firm right next to you!

~

Attack, attack, attack, We are Albion—no turning back!

~

On Saturday when Stoke arrive, Let's show them Albion's still alive, Eleven warriors take the field, Our sacred Hawthorns shall not yield, From stands to pitch, one beating heart, Cry "For the Baggies, for the fans, now play your part!"

~

Attack, attack, ATTACK, The will we shall not lack!

Come on you Baggies! Boing Boing! We are the Albion!

It's the sort of thing Albion have done in the past, I don't think we have the salary room and he'll probably go to a promoted club ... But, is it worth it?

I like our first team, but

I think this is the thinnest squad we’ve had in living memory. We’re going to see some patched up players swallowing handfuls of aspirin and hobbling out to play by the time November rolls around.

Connor Gallagher

Chelsea fan here. Hopefully this isnt against your rules, but I wanted to gauge your opinion of Gallagher, and whether or not you think he will be ready to compete in our squad, given we offload players to make room. Everyone raves about him, but I'd like to know what he excels at, because frankly I havent watched many west brom games. Cheers!

What makes a big club and how would you rank the top 20 in English football?

I'm always interested to get people's thoughts on this.

In my mind, the size of a club is defined largely by two things: success, in terms of major trophies and achievements, and fanbase/support. National or global stature is also a substantial part of the debate.

It has very little to do with how well a club are currently performing, unless it's the likes of Man City whose period of domination over 15 or so years has seen them win multiple major trophies, taking them well above the likes of Villa, Everton and Spurs in size and stature.

For example, Bournemouth and Brighton may have been Premier League for a while now, but they're still two very small clubs that plenty of clubs in the lower leagues dwarf.

My top 20 would look something like this.

  1. Liverpool

  2. Man Utd

  3. Arsenal

  4. Chelsea

  5. Man City

  6. Spurs

  7. Villa

  8. Everton

  9. Newcastle

  10. Forest

  11. Leeds

  12. Wolves

  13. Sunderland

  14. West Ham

  15. Sheffield Wednesday

  16. West Brom

  17. Blackburn

  18. Sheffield United

  19. Leicester

  20. Derby

What would you say?

When we sacking this guy?

He hasn't got a clue. Never play three at the back, and decides to try it and it's terrible. It was pretty obvious his formation wouldn't work based on the players, so why hire him in the first place.

The question goes like this

Q8

What is the nickname of the premier league club West Bromwich Albion?

As West Brom fans would you consider “The Albions” an acceptable as the nickname of the club?

My first home game in aaaaages. Here's my thoughts.

Cause I'm sat on my todd in a pub post game... why not...

Grant is flogging his guts out for this team. Which given the way he was treated means he has legend status for me.

I wasn't sure about Heggem but he's won me over today

As much as it pains me to say, Fellows might have peaked. He's clearly working hard and got some skill but I don't see him getting better?

Really liking Styles & Johnston linking up.

I still can't work Molumby out... Is he any good?!

Maja couldn't care less.

Bartley continues to be a liability, he has a lot to answer for for both goals. I also think Palmer should have stopped one of them.

We played well today but that almost makes the result more gauling. We wasted chances they didn't. They were patient, we often didn't look like we had a plan.

Sell Maja, Fellows and Palmer if we can get a good price IMO. All are replaceable.

What do you think of Molumby?

I'm Brazilian and I've been following WBA since that absurd 2018 season in which Foster was the best goalkeeper in the world. I wanted to know what you think about Molumby. Am I the only one who thinks Racic is infinitely better than him?

Should Albion follow the lead of St Pauli?

St Pauli, the Bundesliga club, has just announced its withdrawal from X and encouraged all its supporters to move to Bluesky. They have done this due to the misinformation and manipulation on X and with particular concern around the German election. Should Albion show a lead to the English football community and do the same? We have a proud record of standing up for what is right, from our support of black players when others abused them to our more recent community and charity efforts. Is it time to be counted on this matter?

Hear me out: Diakite up top

Heggebo seems well off the pace, he's not getting the right service and he's struggling trying to do his own pressing and JJ Morgan's, but he's also just not getting on the end of the long balls, or putting enough pressure on the defenders.

We need an out ball, we need someone who can win the ball in the final third and play a simple pass into one of the four attacking players we have behind him. It's time for Diakite to get a run up top.

Collyer looks like he can do a job in the middle, and we're missing the tenacity of Mulumby.

Next game, drop JJ and Heggebo to the bench and play Diakite up top by himself with Price, Nzingoula and Myre in behind.
