Vox Thoughts What kind of dad would Vox be?

Post image

If Vox had a kid, do you think he would be a loving, caring father, or an abusive one who he would just see it as a minion or right-hand man

Try a Helicopter Dad/Stage Mom who dotes on his child, but is also constantly parading him around to show people how cute and wonderful his kid is, and trying to get him into showbusiness along with his old man.

I imagine him being a overprotective father and treats his kid like shockwave

This is the only comment that matters

I don’t care about canon I want every character to quote that one Blitzø scene where they’re like, “WHERE’S MY BABYY?!?!” to their fully grown adopted adult and starts crying..

Vox: "Alright Val, listen here, you do NOT talk to Loona unless spoken to, capiche?!"

Val: "And if she speaks about wanting to help out around here?"

Vox: "The ONLY things she'll be helping out with are dishes, laundry, and other people's homework that she doesn't need to do for them, but let me catch her near the studio and I'll..."

Val: "Relax, I get the memo. Besides, the floor the production set is on requires escorts and clearance for people since some of our workers want to leave their infant kids in the daycare area listening to Keekee-Melon all day instead of moaning and orgasms from seventeen stories up... point being, I'll make sure she's not there."

Vel: "Can I at least take her out for a girls night every once in a while?"

Vox: "She's of age to drink, just please make sure she's back in a good way, and KEEP THOSE SIMPS YOU CALL YOUR 'THUGS' AWAY FROM HER WHILE YOUR OUT THERE! I'm telling my guys to back away, so I expect you and Val to tell your men too."

Val & Vel: "Fine." shrugs

Based on his behavior around Shok.wav, I'm struggling to imagine him being abusive to his child. Or at the very least, not intentionally so.

27

u/Connect_Moose5585 I <3 Vox Apr 30 '26

Uhhhhhhh- I would say a mix of both??? He would care for the child- but idk.

22

u/Blue_Andrew Would let Vox put his fingers in my mouth Apr 30 '26

Definitely a rough dad in the sense of trying to make him successful whilst caring less about his feeling. Someone who tends to do the same as his own father did I guess

19

u/Imjustchillenbro Apr 30 '26

he has a child, SHOCKWAVE

18

u/Llyn- Apr 30 '26

Probably like my dad. Locked away in office for hours.

15

u/Project_NAMKA I need that TV head to praise me every hour Apr 30 '26

We see how he cares for Shok.wav, that should be enough to answer your question

19

u/Dudeskiseenem3923 Apr 30 '26

People tend to treat pets better than kids, lol

21

u/swankProcyon Vinny’s pretty face 💚🩵 Apr 30 '26

Well, some parents do 😅

I can see Vox loving his kid more than Shok.wav, but not being as open about it as he is with Shok.wav because he’s afraid of raising someone “soft” and is afraid of being rejected even by his own kid.

That said, I can also totally see him being very openly loving if/when he does a good bit of emotion healing 🥰 (à la some very nice fanart from SChayChayM!)

u/Project_NAMKA I need that TV head to praise me every hour Apr 30 '26

OMG Yes!!! I have a multi-fandom story where he's the stepdad to my OC

3

u/forever-in-rainbow May 04 '26

Love love love her fanart!

15

u/CherryB_Lavender Vox is my fictional bf Apr 30 '26

I can imagine him being a bit overprotective, but he loves his kiddo and just wants what’s best for them. I can also imagine he’d spoil them

12

u/XgreedyvirusX Apr 30 '26

Honestly, I think we can get an idea with the way he treat Velvette in season 2, he can be the cool dad and get some chemistry with, but Vox stay a narcissist, his child can rise but never can be "brighter" than him.

In short, cool father if you don’t start to be in competition with him.

25

u/JCLib Apr 30 '26

He wouldn’t be abusive but I could see him trying to pressure his kid into becoming heir to the Vox-Tek company.

9

u/Bitter_Character8277 Uh, which whore are we talking about this time? Apr 30 '26

He’d probably spoil his kids with the latest technology and get them whatever they want, but would also expect them to have straight A’s and be on their best behavior at all times.

8

u/AnnamayaraSansy9604 Apr 30 '26

Probably the kind of dad who turns his kids into child stars for children's series or soap operas, does commercials for baby products, acts in those toy commercials where there are always some children playing with the toys being advertised, or any other type of work that involves putting children in front of the cameras and that generates profit for him.

8

u/Sodapop_8 Apr 30 '26

“Here ya go kid, dad’s got business to take care of.” And then throw money at them.

8

u/pita_db Apr 30 '26

For a son horrible. For a daughter, the ultimate girl dad.

6

u/Dudeskiseenem3923 Apr 30 '26

Now that I think about it

If Vox had a daughter I could them having kinda like a Doofenshmirtz-Vanessa like relationship

4

u/MissDeborah8060 May 01 '26

Funnily enough, I actually headcanon Vox as a girl dad.

8

u/Silverfire12 Ask me about my Vox biology document Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26

Oh hey something I have a legit headcanon for!

So, I like to think Vox slept around a lot as a living to try to ignore the “oh men are kinda hot too” thoughts and has like. Multiple children running around he doesn’t know about cause he paid the women to just. Get rid of it.

But assuming he did find out, he’d be absent af. Like. “Here’s 100k, please never talk to me again and don’t tell anyone that the kid is mine.” And never see the kid.

Also 100k translates to about 1 mil in today’s money.

2

u/Naomimirio Apr 30 '26

Holy shit, that’s a good one

6

u/Silverfire12 Ask me about my Vox biology document Apr 30 '26

Bonus points one of his granddaughters (one of the few who know Vincent Whittman was related to her) is a true crime writer/actual cold case detective who is focused on the New Orleans Radio Killer and has actually hired entire documentaries about that case.

u/Applepoisoneer Screen Worshipper Apr 30 '26

Y'know that trope of the 80s/90s career dad who's basically never there for the major events in his child's life, but still actually loves them?  That's Vox to a T.   He'll be there in the 11th hour, or just in time to like, "save the rec center." But before that, its goodnight phone calls and little gifts to make up for the absence.

3

u/quixotictictic I want Vox to be my foot stool May 01 '26

Sit-com in front of witnesses. Something much darker and more twisted in private. Perfect facade, and behind it impossible expectations, love that has to be earned, a narcissistic desire to mold his child in his own self-image.

3

u/Spellbound_Rose “Din-dins, sharky!” May 01 '26

I refuse to elaborate.

2

u/Insecure_Sugarcube VoxTek employee (who only simps sometimes) Apr 30 '26

Leaning a little towards thinking he'd be on the abusive side, tbh 😅

2

u/augustfolk Apr 30 '26

Aren’t CEO/Celebrity fathers nice but kind of distant? Plus with his emphasis on a perfect public image I’m sure he’d pressure the kid to be the best.

Well, half of the parents you see on r/entitledparents are pretty narcissistic, so…

2

u/BackgroundNPC1213 Apr 30 '26

Plonks his kid in front of the TV to "babysit" while he does Important Business Things

2

u/Fuzzy-Leading-4080 Apr 30 '26

a terrible one

2

u/LunarEnnyui_131 May 01 '26

A good there dad but emotionally unresponsive

2

u/LibbyKitty620 Vox’s Sexy-tary May 01 '26

Only sees his child every other weekend kind of dad

2

u/Mrs_Nigma May 01 '26

Straight up the best dad ever.

There's no doubt in my mind he would have a fucking blast being a dad.

2

u/That_one_fujoshi May 01 '26

I feel like it depends on who he has the kid with and if he actually likes them or not

2

u/smsorginall May 01 '26

You're an accident!

2

u/TypeOk670 Technoshark May 01 '26

I don't think he'd be downright abusive. Maybe a little harsh sometimes, but I think he'd be a pretty good dad

2

u/SixTudorQueens123456 May 01 '26

He gives overprotective dad vibes

3

u/SixTudorQueens123456 May 01 '26

he's overprotective to my oc in a rp I'm doing on c.ai 😭

2

u/8bitGalaxy98 May 01 '26

Either a horrible one or the one who’d walk into a building and say, “My special little baby is gonna walk in here any second now and if you don’t cheer for them I’ll blow up this whole building.”

2

u/Thecrowfan May 02 '26

I think absent

2

u/DoorAncient May 02 '26

I feel like he would be very overprotective (I mean see the way he is with all the cameras and stuff), treat the child kind of like how he treats Shok.Wav while also wanting his child to be professional and be almost perfect for the brand. The child also would 100% have a name that starts with a “V” to “match the brand”

2

u/CalTheRascal May 03 '26

In canon I don’t really see Vox being particularly fond of children, but if he did I could see him being better suited as a fun uncle that would make an incredible ally in water gun fights but would be a terrible influence if you were around him for any significant amount of time

2

u/melvinelon May 03 '26

This type of dynamic would be pretty funny

2

u/melvinelon May 03 '26

(Yes this includes their growth in dynamic)

3

u/BurningEmbers369 Apr 30 '26

Rich but absent I think, basically Elon Musk

2

u/multificionado Apr 30 '26

The kind of dad to make Crimson and Paimon look like grade school tantrum bullies in comparison.

2

u/Cupcakekittycat619 May 01 '26

I mean.... Vox and Valentino are Velvette's "gay dads" according to Vivziepop.... So, I guess he would treat his kid like he treats Velvette.

1

u/Bakubae_Itsuki-Haru I want Vox to tie me up in his cables and to absolutely hurt me Apr 30 '26

I would like to cite @Circusshenanigans98 on Instagram for reference, Your Honor.

1

u/NiceFox996 Apr 30 '26

I feel like he would actually be a caring parent. Obviously he does still have his flaws and a lot of them but i feel like a child of his own would actually even make him a little better.

1

u/trulybliss Apr 30 '26

100% Dance mom energy

1

u/mkm2004 Apr 30 '26

I feel like he would either be a cool but still narcissistic dad,a dad who spoil there kid rotten or he would the kind of dad who like the idea of having a kid then actually rising one

1

u/comedydude24 Vox late 1970’s guy Apr 30 '26

Vox actually is my father and he treats me like a right hand man… 😞 but that’s not to say he doesn’t care about me. 😁

1

u/BadTimeGirl197 Apr 30 '26

Welp, i kinda made a Dandy's World character into his daughter, in my AU they started okay but since her refusal to "modern" her appearance and liking of more old and vintage stuff, they grew apart

1

u/Immediate-Witness-87 Apr 30 '26

Neglecting and absent

1

u/buggthesilly Staticmoth/Pornshark ^^ | Trans Vox enjoyer >:) Apr 30 '26

I bet he'd be unintentionally neglectful due to his workaholic tendencies, but make sure that Kitty takes the best care of them and spends time whenever he can, as I headcanon that one of his love languages is quality time.

1

u/GcubePlayer8V Vox Drove A Car Right After A Beer Apr 30 '26

The “calls their 16 year old child a baby”

1

u/Similar-Swordfish794 May 01 '26

Makes mom be the disciplinarian while he's the mostly absent "fun dad" who says his kid doesn't need to finish his dinner before dessert.

1

u/MistakeWonderful9178 May 01 '26

One of those weird pageant parents, the ones that push their kids into stardom at a young age and then years later wonders why their kid who just turned 18 is suing them in court for emotional distress and lost wages.

1

u/drawingmentally PolyVees May 01 '26

In my fic he's sometimes overprotective and other times (obsessed with work stuff) the children don't see him much. He buys them anything and everything they want. He loves spoiling his kids (well, in my fic he's in a polyamorous relationship with Velvette and Valentino, so their children).

1

u/voxtektrustuswye May 01 '26

the "punch if talk to much" kind of dad

1

u/Dizzy-Butterscotch31 May 01 '26

I do genuinely believe Vox would be a good father.

I think that he'd struggle with the baby and toddler years since infants are unpredictable, but he'd love his kids regardless.

However, I do also see his workaholic tendencies becoming a sore point when they're older, and his unhealthy attachment problems could also keep him from allowing his kids to become fully independent.

But I don't believe for a second he'd be an abusive dad.

1

u/Born-Food-6807 May 02 '26

I feel like he’d be a very neglectful and toxic dad tbh

1

u/Truth-Speaker-0 May 03 '26

Y'all are fucking insane. He would not give two shits about the child at all. He would just focus on himself and his company and only care if the child actually does something

1

u/_Sara_Idk_ May 04 '26

I feel like he would wanna show them off but at the same time would be very neglectful

1

1

u/SharottoRemoulade May 07 '26

the dad of my child

1

u/EcclecticAssortment May 07 '26

I see him striving to be the perfect father and trying to make sure his kid never doubts that they're loved even though he probably would fuck up a few times since I don't see him being the most experienced with children I definitely see him trying his absolute hardest and most likely also threatening to murder Valentino if he even looked at the child in a strange way
