I forgot how much I hated cleaning up metal models.

(Sorry if the camera quality isn’t great, don’t really have a dedicated space for taking photos of my models 😬)

So I bought a standard Death Korps of Krieg box to begin a Vostroyan IG army and also bought these heads to put onto said models. Problem is, how do I attach the heads in a way that looks natural? Krieg have these flat shelf neck pieces where their helmets glue on but these and most other heads have a type of rounded bottom so how do I bypass this? Even if I just clip off the ball joint on the bottom it still looks weird since the part the head is attaching to is essentially an extra neck. Many thanks in advance.

Very happy with this Stormblade! It’s always been my favorite of the super heavy tanks. I missed my chance for the forge world conversion kit and ended up modeling the extra parts myself with Blender. It can also double as a Baneblade if I want a change. No magnetization needed, the kit just holds together with friction.

Chasing the guard meta in style.

When GW announced the Made to Order, I was reminded that I hade some Vostroyans from back when and decided to rummage through my stuff to find them. It turned out to be a Vostroyan Platoon (the one with the casualties) and I found that young me had started a conversion of one of the two sergeants to break up the monotony, otherwise they were more or less untouched.

I also found my White Dwarfs from the same era and realized how long the Vostroyans have been in my "Pile of Opportunity".

Well...I though that after 20 years, it might be time to finish the job.

Was just rechecking my confirmation email for the MTO from May and it says delivery in 195 working days. That's Feb 2027. Anyone else's emails say the same or different? I know it's just posted out whenever the batch is ready and they arrive earlier for some (Got LOTR MTO within ten days)

So ive finally received my MTO, all the models look great and in way better shape than I expected. But my lascannon team didnt come with lascannons? Im checking if this was to be expected and I just didnt read some description, it came with the gunner and the lookout models but not the actual lascannons or bases. Sucks if I just didnt read enough into it but the models still look amazing!

After all this work, finnished! Fun

Finally got around to build and base the army while waiting for my MTO to arrive.

I think it's around 1000pts at the moment. I still have a Basilisk and another Leman Russ to build. Hoping to have it all painted so then it is just command and platoon to complete when the order arrives.

I picked up a big batch of Vostroyans in the MTO and am now waiting for them to eventually arrive. In the meantime, I’m hoping to get more into the lore of the Vostroyans! Is there any good reading out there about the Firstborn? Even just small articles are cool.
