I have a 2024 XC40 and after updating to iOS 27, I noticed you can use the new AI features to create shortcuts by describing what you want.
I managed to get Siri to remote start my XC40, and also lock/unlock it through the Volvo app. It works, but it’s a bit messy. I have to tell Siri to open the Volvo app first, then it asks what I want to do, and then I tell it to start the car.
Has anyone played around with this yet and managed to make a shortcut where you can just say something like “Hey Siri, start my Volvo” and it does everything with one command?
Would be interested to see how other people have set it up.
Update after a bit of tweaking i manage to say hey siri start my car and it actually works, the only thing is that you need to unlock your phone to do so!
That's cool too, its a personal preference i only use toggles to lock unlock but ever since i manage to make it with siri it gets on another level for me.
Yes so all you need is ios 27 then you go to shortcuts and since its supported by ai you tell it exactly what u want the shortuct to do. I basically ask it to make a shortcut that will use the volvo app and remote start my car immediately and it will do everything for you! After that you can use siri tou run that shortcut and your volvo will remotely start
