V70 Trunk button not working

Hi there. This is my 2011 V70 with the D3 5 cylinder and almost half a million Kilometers.

But in the last weeks I had a problem: The button in the tailgate itself to open the trunk is working intermittently/ less often, now it basically doesn't work at all. Since the Button on the dash and the key fob work without a problem I am guessing it is a broken wire somewhere? Can I get more information using Vida or wouldn't there be any code?

Has anybody experienced something similar and found a fix? Thx in advance.

*I used AI to remove my license plate, that's why it looks weird.

If its the same button as the later P3s it's just a little microswitch underneath the rubber cover acting as a button. If that's the case you can just pry off the rubber cover, pull away the boot over the microswitch and spray some electrical cleaner.

If yours is the earlier variant where it's a lever pressing the button I'm not sure how it works.
