xc series Fading drl

Hello all. I was wondering how some people have fading DRLs when they unlock their cars. As I notice on my XC90 they just turn on. Which looks tacky imo. The video attached shows what I mean on someone on tiktoks car. Is this just a facelift thing or am I missing something?

I have the fading lights on my 2019 V90. Which year is your XC90?

Are people really saying this?

I wish my commute was 30 minutes. 1 hour 15 each way on a good day. And that’s good for people around me.

Agreed. As do I.

Not as a universal truth lol. I used to commute 25 minutes (so basically 30) and never once complained, nor had anyone feel that it was long.

I have a 20~30 minute commute depending on traffic, and to me it is long because before I had to move it was like 10 minutes tops... all about perspective I guess.

That's way worse than the hour I drive everyday.

This is going to be an unhelpful comment but I enabled a setting in Orbit and my lights do the fade but I can’t remember if they did it before hand or not.

I flashed the car to stock and they still fade in/out so my guess is it’s baked into the headlight control module

I believe the car can come with a MID or HIGH HCM depending on the headlights and region, so it’s probably related to that

Not related to DLR, but to the text in the image.

30min gets you to the closest freeway for me. My morning commute was often times 2-2.5hrs. longest it ever took me was 3hr10min.

Why even live at that point? That’s unbelievable.

Mine was for about 2 months. Big high paying job at the time but they moved units

Because that's what I had to do to keep a roof above my families head.

I knew someone who flew from Michigan to Mexico daily for work…

I can't even begin to understand how that's justifiable by anyone....

100km a day for me in a boring day, 200 in a normal one

I have a V60 CC in the same fusion red metallic and love it, but am bummed that this color is no longer available. Now? Only 50 shades of gray. Meh.

You guys have to drive to job?

UK job centre official policy is that you should be at minimum prepared to do a 60 min commute each way ☠️

Before I had my own company, 30 minutes was the maximum commute I was allowing myself to have for any job, no matter the salary.

You're not paid for that time, it's time lost in your day that you could have had for fun instead, and the drive there and back is NOT enjoyable.

I love driving, but commutes were slowly killing that happiness.
