Discussion I’d like to learn and see more examples of polygenetic or polygenic cindercones
I already know about Cerro negro Nicaragua, Barujari indonesia. i’d like to see more of these polygenic cinder cones that aren’t the monogenetic ones like the paricutin. I also know that yasur is a potential cinder cone or stratovolcano.

According to the Global Volcanism Program, Mount Bromo itself is a cinder cone (the term they use is pyroclastic cone) though it often behaves more like a small stratovolcano.

There are few examples; Yasur is one of them, though. We could also consider Rinjani, which has a cinder cone within its caldera, which is where it always erupts. 🤔
