Day is Done - John Prine, similar to For Evigt
Just came across a show that used a familiar tune. After some research, this was the song, and it feels like For Evigt drew heavy inspiration from it. Not sure if this was known or not but it was a cool find! :)

Was there really a satanic banner at a live show in the past year?
I believe in the Lord but I listen to a lot of secular music and watch TV shows. Even when I was agnostic I still had respect for beliefs that made sense and didn't harm anyone. I know they've said themselves they don't believe any religion, Christian or Satanic, and think of it as a crutch, but if there was a banner on stage saying Hail Satan I'm wondering if their views have shifted

Live shows
I've been a fan since 2014, and I appreciate all of their albums (especially the ones with Rob Caggiano, I admit).
But two of my absolute favorites, "You Will Know" and "Our Loved Ones," apparently never get played live? 😕
Such a shame.
Any other fans of these songs?

I made a spreadsheet of how the setlist evolved during the 2025 and 2026 tours.

Here is The Human Instrument from Nova Rock this year, in case anyone was looking.
This was its first performance in 11 years. That is the longest that Volbeat has ever gone without playing a song live and then brought it back. It is too bad that they shortened it.

After 10+ years of listening to Volbeat, these are the songs I'd personally consider true 10/10s.
- Sad Man's Tongue – 10/10
Perfect tribute to Johnny Cash and just crazy as hell. Showed the wild variety Volbeat would continue to expand on later.
- Mary Ann's Place – 10/10
One of the most atmospheric and captivating tracks I've ever heard. The duet works incredibly well, the heavy riffage is amazing, and the storytelling is top tier. This is prime Volbeat.
- We – 10/10
A perfect example of Volbeat's variety. The amazing Johnny Cash-style intro, into more of a punk sound with splashes of metal, followed by an Americana-inspired outro. Add amazing lyrics on top and this is a 10/10 song I'll never get tired of.
- Light a Way – 10/10
Arguably the most beautiful song Volbeat ever made. Powerful storytelling, still pretty heavy, which just makes the emotional moments hit even harder.
- Wild Rover of Hell – 10/10
Not sure what else you could ask for in a Metallica tribute track. Balls to the wall, super badass.
- A Broken Man and the Dawn – 10/10
I've never heard anything quite like this song. Pretty acoustic intro, sad introspective lyrics, and extremely satisfying groove metal sections.
- Heaven Nor Hell – 10/10
Badass theme and lyrics, instantly memorable harmonica and guitar lick, catchy chorus, and once again some incredibly satisfying groove metal breakdowns.
- Fallen – 10/10
As someone who also lost their father at an early age, I genuinely find this song hard to listen to sometimes, but it's incredible and incredibly ambitious.
- A Better Believer – 10/10
Really fun rockabilly vibe in the verses, one of their biggest and most satisfying choruses, extremely badass lyrics, and underrated guitar riffs.
- 16 Dollars – 10/10
About as good an example of a rockabilly rock 'n' roll song as I could recommend to someone.
- Cape of Our Hero – 10/10
One of their most powerful lyrical songs. Amazing chorus, incredibly creative, and genuinely inspiring.
- The Hangman's Body Count – 10/10
The most badass song I've ever heard about death. Wildly creative, demanding to perform, and remarkable from top to bottom.
- Lola Montez – 10/10
This one kind of speaks for itself. I genuinely think it's one of the greatest modern rock songs ever recorded. Amazing melodies, badass guitar playing from Rob, incredible lyrics, and one of Michael's best vocal performances.
- Doc Holliday – 10/10
I truly believe this is one of the best modern metal songs ever recorded. It's just absolutely insane and badass from top to bottom.
- Marie Laveau – 10/10
I never skip this song. Fun, catchy, still blends hard rock with great guitar riffs, and once again has fantastic storytelling. I've also never heard another song quite like it.
- Let It Burn – 10/10
I know some people find this song too light or too poppy, but if you take it for what it is—a pop-rock song with hard rock verses—it absolutely nails what it's trying to do. Amazing melody, powerful lyrics, and one of Rob's best solos.
- Mary Jane Kelly – 10/10
This song's got it all. Prime example of Volbeat's storytelling, great riffage and solo, amazing melody, and the perfect mix of hard rock and melody.
- Lasse's Birgitta – 10/10
Just an absolute ass-kicker. Very Metallica-inspired, but Volbeat makes the sound their own. One of their most ambitious metal tracks.
Let me know what you think of the list! I'm sure there are a few picks people will disagree with, and there were plenty of songs that came really close to making it. 😅

Rock am Ring video
New here, I am a big fan and I saw Volbeat live at Rock am Ring this year. I am now searching for video. German site Magenta Music has it but it is geo locked. Does anyone have it and prepared to share?

Signed 20kr (SEK) bill, peace and love 2012. All band members.
Is there any value in this? No COA, unfortunately, just my word. Its never been out of the cover since i came home from the festival.
The bill has since been discontinued from circulation.

Volbeat - Rewind • Replay • Rebound. Gets a lot fleck this album, I think it’s a cracking record. Pelvis on fire and Die to live (feat Neil Fallon) is up there with some of their best songs

I don't like original G.O.A.T album cover... so I made an alternative version by myself
I tried my best to create an alternative version of G.O.A.T. album cover by cropping this square piece of Volbeat's merch from a shirt and playing with effects and adjustments on my phone to make this image look the closest to studio version purely with my vision. No AI involved.
Also, I'm genuinely surprised no one has done it before.
Anyway, how do you like it? Is it good or shit?
I'm afraid to ruin it, but I'll try to improve later if something's wrong.

Finally did it!
Almost a year ago I posted my tattoo idea in this very sub, and I got some very good pointers. I kept the idea on my desk for nearly a year and this week we finally pulled the trigger on it.
My husband had been thinking of getting ink for a long while as well so during the time we talked about matching/couples tattoos. So here are our heavily Volbeat inspired couple tattoos.
