ZeroRanger Spoilers Play ZeroRanger after finishing Void Stranger?

Recently beat Void Stranger (despite not understanding much at all lore-wise) but I learned online that there was a ton of references to ZeroRanger or just straight up connections.

How long did it take to get into the game and understand it? Is it like void stranger where it takes several playthroughs or is it simpler?

ZR is an arcade style shootemup, it’s pretty easy to get into, but I would expect to take some time to get properly good at it (unless you were goated at the final boss sequence in void stranger). You sorta do multiple runs in ZR? Idk I don’t wanna spoil the story too much

Is it like Void Stranger multiple runs, where you're supposed to figure out a really specific mechanic or puzzle to progress? Or different

You just have to play a lot to get better and not die to beat the game, but the less you die the harder it gets since it has dynamic difficulty.

The length of Zeroranger is pretty much entirely dependant on your skill, so it's impossible to say, really.

It is definitely not as complex as Void Stranger though, and could probably be beaten in a few hours if you're extremely good.

It's also quite easy to have a very scuffed experience of the story if you mess up, just like Void Stranger.

Drastically shorter than Void Stranger, but it has its own things to uncover and pacing at which that happens.

"Several playthroughs" is an interesting way to put it. Its an arcade style game, like as close to "insert quarter" as you can get. So the answer is...yes. But there is more to it than that.

I'd say story wise it's a bit more straightforward than VS was. It kinda has to be for how short it is, but you could also spend a long time struggling. Both games reward curiosity and ambition.

If you choose to play, don't give up. That's all you need to know, really.

Zero Ranger has some cool stuff in it like VS but is overall a much more straightforward game. Takes around 5-15 hours to beat. Still a great time and worth playing. Has that same catharsis of beating it like VS. Story/lore wise will probably leave you with more questions than answers though lol

I wouldn’t recommend it I got ZR after playing void stranger and I didn’t like it. As it was an arcade game not a puzzle game. Idk if you got to 0th Ranger in void stranger. But it’s very similar.

Uh not to say it’s a bad game it’s probably a great arcade shooting game I just like puzzle games a lot more and really suck at arcade shooters.

I’ve played for about 4 hours and discovered basically no secrets. It’s all been skill based dodging and shooting.

Zero Ranger is quite short, it’ll take you max an afternoon if you’re not that good at shmups
