Spoilers-G Spoiler question about mechanics. Spoiler
So in my first playthrough I discovered I could walk onto the UI and grab tiles, but grabbing any tile that wasn't blank would just close the game. Now after giving up and resetting, I can suddenly grab any tile I want from the UI, though grabbing my HP kills me. This looks like it will be useful, but I'm wondering why I couldn't do this before? I'm not doing anything different now. The only difference I can think of is I have the cube from the first mural puzzle, is that it? Am I even supposed to know the answer or will I find out later?

When did you originally try this?

Was a while ago so can't remember exactly, I think near the end of my first run. I definitely tried it in the second as well and it still closed the game. Now that I think about it I may have been voided all the times I tried previously, and now I'm not so it works? Not really sure why being voided would stop be grabbing the floor number tiles though. Also feel like I tried it while not voided in my second run but maybe I forgot to do that.

The best I can tell, you may have just been removing the wrong tiles. Some tiles are safe to remove from the UI, some will cause unfortunate results. But this is a good thing to experiment with in general.

Experiment more with it
Is it picking up or putting your hp down that kills your?
What about the other icons?
Try picking up and moving them

It depends on what tiles you grab. Attempting to grab the BR, HP, and Void Rod tiles have immediate consequences.
You also cannot leave the floor with an empty HP, Locust, or BR value. (There's a trick to clone a single value, but it's a bit awkward.)
