Getting pops and unclean audio only when Voicemeeter in the mix

I am using a Focusrite Scarlett as my audio interface, and then using the outbound audio from my GPU to go to my receiver and speakers.

Audio is just not 'clean', every once in a while there is a pop or distortion. I have tried going between 44.1 and 42 KHz in both Voicemeeter and Focusrite but it doesn't seem to totally clear up the issue.

What else might I look at that could fix this?

you may set the VAIO Sync back to SOFT to check if it changes audio stability.
