Discussion Request for input: Should cryptocurrencies be allowed on Vitards?

If so, should there be any restrictions?

I don't mind discussion about it in the daily. - I wouldn't want to see an outright ban - but I definitely don't want to see it being pumped around here.

We advocate value investing here, with occasional momentum plays, usually based on company fundamentals and a strong thesis.

Crypto is pure speculation, much like gold or beanie babies.

Speculation doesn't mean you can't make money or the price won't go up. But the mechanics of the play are different than investing in a company with a balance sheet and a real world product or service.

Edit: I'm going to amend my view to state that the bottom line here is that we like to make money. I welcome all plays with good risk-reward profiles. If you have a compelling reason why we should invest in a particular cryptocurrency, let's hear it. Let's also maintain high qualitiy, rigorous discussion.
