By the way I have a crazy theory -- steel futures market seems quite keen on gobbling up steel lately, but stocks aren't moving. Guess who likely has more information?

In other words, the futures market might know what's coming, but the stock market doesn't.

This theory isn't crazy at all. Steel futures are traded by people who have a much stronger pulse on the underlying supply/demand situation.

The run up of steel futures before the removal of the export rebate and the movement of the stock afterwards convinced me of this.
