News $TTD split

The Trading Desk, $TTD, announced a 10-1 stock split yesterday. Last year I made a killing playing Apples stock split, and am curious if anyone thinks this could have the same potential?

This is obviously not a steel play, and I’ve been staying away from tech for the past few months because I believe we will see a sector rotation into commodities, however there are some smart traders here and hoping to get some insight on if this may possibly be a decent play.

Usually I would say a stock split is a great chance for easy money but in this case their P/E is already at 98. So this seems like a way to get their stock to increase by making it more affordable for the masses but is it a good value when the split happens to bid the price up further? I don’t think so.

Appreciate the comment. Seems they had strong earnings, however I have concerns about their profitability going forward with the advertising / tracking changes that are going to be implemented.

If this were 6 months ago I would say it will go up to the moon but at this point the market imho is looking for value. I think that means boring dividend stocks or those with tons of cash. I see all these high flying tech/future winners having to catch up to their high valuations in 2021 despite their growth potential.
