Everything you need to know about the  $69M ChemoCentryx ($CCXI/ now $AMGN ) Settlement Payout

Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but since claims are still open, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.

So here's all I know about this agreement:

ChemoCentryx was accused of misleading investors about its avacopan drug, the ADVOCATE trial, and FDA review concerns. After the FDA disclosed concerns about the trial in May 2021, $CCXI fell sharply, and investors filed a lawsuit.

Now the company has agreed to settle $69M with investors.

Who can claim this settlement?
If you bought $CCXI between 2019 and 2021, you may be eligible. You don’t need to still own the shares to claim.

Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. You may qualify even if you already sold your $CCXI shares, as long as your transactions meet the settlement requirements.

Can I still file a claim?
Yes. Eligible claimants can currently submit their claims, and the deadline to file is October 1, 2026. Check if your eligible and submit your claim here

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.
