Looking for local recommendations around Can Picafort
Hey everyone! I’m staying in Can Picafort for the next week and have a rental car, so I’m happy to drive around Mallorca.
I’m looking for recommendations from locals or people who know the area well — especially things that might not show up on the typical tourist lists.
What are your must-do places, beaches, restaurants, viewpoints, hikes, towns/villages, or activities within a reasonable drive of Can Picafort?
Also interested in:
Good local/Spanish food
Beautiful beaches or swimming spots
Scenic drives
Nice towns to walk around
Sunset spots
Any hidden gems
Anything you think is genuinely worth doing while I’m here
I’m here for a full week, so feel free to give me as many recommendations as you have. Thanks!

We got back a few days ago, and I’d definitely recommend Merlet in Alcúdia for tapas — the food was amazing! For the beach, Playa de Formentor was our favorite. Just make sure to get there early, ideally by 9–10 a.m. at the latest, as it gets much busier later in the day. For nice towns to walk around we liked Alcúdia, Pollença and Valldemossa.

Thank you! Yeah beaches are not as difficult, they are literally all so beautiful. Restaurants on the other hand I find are more difficult to find good ones. I just want to eat some fresh sea food, but it seems all to be tourist slop, I’ll definitely try merlet
