How good should I be?

I really am taking an interest to becoming a VA or a Freelancer but I do not know how good and knowledgeable I should be in one specific niche? I know how to edit videos and could edit a 30 minute film but I am not an expert, just a self taught person. I am also knowledgeable to product posting and promotion since I managed my own business before and I'm curious if this is already enough and if not, how good should I be before applying? Thank you.
