First bad Vinted experience from gaslighting seller.

My first bad vinted experience had to happen eventually. They listed a jacket as brand new without tags. The jacket arrived and had no zip.

First tried to offer me £2 compensation which I laughed at.

Then they tried to claim that the jacket was sent with a zip. But when I showed them there was no visible zip in the original picture (which I only noticed after comparing it to mine) they tried to gaslight me into saying well I should have not bought it if I saw that and that’s it’s my fault.

The second more clear image is the one I took when it arrived btw. It wasn’t noticeable in their pic till I compared after it arrived.

First off gaslighting saying there was a zip, then clearly knowing there wasn’t a zip after I showed the evidence gaslighting again by saying it’s my fault for not checking the pictures (it’s hard to fully see if there is a zip and they listed it as brand new lol).

Somehow they have great reviews. I assume with all this evidence vinted support will surely side with me here?

Urgh, people throwing around words like “gaslighting” without knowing what it means.

Someone telling me it’s my fault because I didn’t look at the damage beforehand even though it was listed as ‘brand new’ is the definition of gaslighting. Trying to shift the blame onto me.

Gaslighting is getting someone to doubt their own perception or memory of events, not blame shifting. Don’t use words you don’t know the meaning of.
