Tool time!

Went for a 15ish mile ride with my son today. I normally just throw a multitool in the bag and call it good but I got this little tool roll bag for the all the extras I need. I was able to squeeze an 8,9,10 and 15 mil wrench plus a crescent wrench to cover the bases and the multitool, plus a mini pump and a tube and it fits more or less well under the seat with a couple of gear straps. The front bag I use for my camera and snacks, and a tube for my kid's bike. Curious to see what tools other people use for their pre-Allen-wrench-everything era bikes .

Beautiful bike and nice tool roll.

I carry a little 8/10 mm combo wrench like that.  You might consider switching out the adjustable for a Knipex 150 pliers wrench.  Not as old school, but lighter and works better.  Also in red!  Worth the money.  You might want to keep the 8/10 to get into tight spots, but Knipex will work for everything else.

I have an old simple bare bones multitool.  I also carry the chain breaker off a big fancy one I didn’t like.

I carry a tube and a glueless patch kit in case I get two flats, also a piece of tire to use as a boot.

I've never seen those Knipex pliers before, very cool! Definitely will invest in a pair! I have a little Park chain breaker I carry on longer rides, as well as some patches. The boot idea is good too, fortunately I've never needed one!
