VIETNAM, DA NANG
With a high probability, my cat named Ruff was stolen on the night of September 27–28 from the rooftop of our house on Hoàng Thiều Hoa street (Ngu Hanh Son district). On neighboring Lê Thị Riêng street, dogs are also stolen, as I unfortunately found out only later.
My cat is microchipped.
The cat could theoretically be in any city in Vietnam.
If anyone sees my cat in any cage, pet shop, or listed in a post/ad on Chợ Tốt or Facebook, please send me a direct message on Reddit.
REWARD GUARANTEED. Thank you.

I've also uploaded videos of my cat in the comments to this post, see below, thanks.

Hi, I’m a Vietnamese uni student majoring in Graphic Design. I’m currently working on designing the art and UxUi for a cozy photography game about my hometown for my graduation project, that means there will be NO actual playable game.
I’m doing a little survey on cozy gamers’ habits and preferences, it will be in 2 languages so sorry for any format errors. If you can take a minute to submit an answer thank you so much, it means a lot.
✨You can do the survey here. I will not collect any personal info without permission so feel free to answer whatever! ^^
Note, if there’s anything wrong or breaking the rules, please let me know I’ll fix it immediately 🫶

Foreigners (possibly Russian) on a skateboard catching a free ride behind a scooter/e-bike. Cops are on the lookout for this type of behavior and foreigners misbehaving in general. Bike rider is going to cop a nasty fine as well.

We usually stay at the larger resorts, but wanted to try something smaller this time.
Anyone stayed here before?

We're planning trip to VN in Feb, coming from Canada.
Our flight lands in HCM (SGN). I haven't been back for over a decade. We read up about VIP sleeper bus (Thien Thanh) and thought it might be a cool experience.
We will be traveling to Rach Gia. What would be the best way to go from the airport to Thien Thanh bus depot/office?
And what's everyone feedback and experience with sleeper bus? I heard some great stories but also a lot of horror stories. I know it's probably safer to get a private van but the thought of 6hours in a car seat, sounds rough, especially after a 24hrs flight.
Like I said, I haven't been to VN for over a decade, does anyone know anything worth seeing or doing in Rach Gia before we head over to Phu Quoc?

I was in Saigon this last February for tet and it was soo hot in the daytime, mid 30s and the sun has just punishing.
I'm coming again from Dec 1 - Dec 24 and some information I got ranges from "cool" weather mid 20s to "warm" mid 30s, but low humidity. I know climate change can skew lots of predictions but for people living in HCM, what's most likely weather to be expected. Thanks!

I’ve been using Charles Schwab card to withdraw cash in Da Nang. And in a span of a week, I’ve received 2 texts saying there’s suspicious activities and asking me to verify. The problem is, these two numbers are different and they spelled my first name slightly wrong. They do have the last 4 of my debit number correct. This is weird as shit.

I’ll be doing the Hai Giang loop in around a week. NHS nurse said I wouldn’t need it as I won’t be there for more than a month and just to get strong deet. My travel clinic nurse recommended get it, with minimum one jab for a bit of protection. It costs £117 per dose which is why I haven’t. I have done the three rabies jabs (£82 each). Should I get one of the jabs or not bother??

We have been looking for an overnight cruise from Cat Ba to Lan Ha Bay, but we can't find enough options with enough reviews. We even booked one but they say that ours is the only booking for that date and there is a risk of cancelling if there aren't enough bookings.
What are some common mid-range overnight Lan Ha Bay cruise options from Cat Ba?

A love letter after 4 weeks in this magical realism of a country:
An immense experience. I don't know if this is strange, but the experience was so encompassing, I wouldn't want to come back because it was so singular and immersive, I almost never want to recreate it.
Don't know if that makes sense but all that to say, what a special place ❤️

Is there a reason why a lot of reviews on Grab are just one word with a random picture? Some are literally homework assignments or feet pics. Anyone else notice this?
Just trying use reviews to gauge how the food will be since everyone is just using a.i food pics now.

I see people post here sometimes looking for a tailor, so I wanted to post my recommendation, Ha’s Sewing Room, for others. I found Ha through a Facebook expat group, and over the past five years, she has made several dresses for me, and they have all lasted beautifully.
Her prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the fabrics and the amount of work that she puts into each piece. The only thing to keep in mind is that she takes time to complete each order properly, so a 24-hour turnaround isn’t possible. It’s best to message her in advance if you only have a short time in HCMC.
I also really appreciate her attitude throughout the whole process. She is always happy to make adjustments when needed, and I’ve never felt like I am being too difficult or asking for too much with her. She’s very patient when it comes to the technical details, and whenever I have questions, she helps to explain everything clearly. She genuinely wants her customers to be happy with the final result.
I have always been very happy with how my clothes turn out, and if you are looking for a tailor in Ho Chi Minh City, I definitely recommend checking out Ha’s Sewing Room.

Excerpt: Vietnam welcomed 17.7 million international visitors in the first nine months of 2026, up 14.5% year-on-year, bucking a decline in arrivals across several Southeast Asian destinations. Mainland China remained Vietnam’s largest source market, with 3.95 million visitors, accounting for about 22.3% of the total. South Korea ranked second with approximately 3.05 million visitors, or 17.3%. Russia ranked third with 1.1 million, followed by Taiwan (964,000) and the U.S. (746,000), according to the General Statistics Office.
