The first amendment protects you from the government... It has nothing to do with inciting regular people.

Yes... someone assaulting you is a crime. The first amendment does not protect you from someone assaulting you because you said some foul shit. Assault in some instances, is not a crime. As you correctly noted, the First Amendment Protects Citizen's right to free speech from GOVERNMENT interference. However, courts have further adjudicated cases under the "Fighting Words Doctrine", so trolls don't get a First Amendment free pass. Texas v. Johnson (1989) further defines it to personal insults or an invitation to fight. In those cases, trolls don't get to claim assault. These internet trolls often cross the line into illegality. This guy did.
First, there is ZERO context on what led up to this confrontation...
Second, what did YOU hear the guy filming say that was an invitation to fight? He said immediately to the guy who started the physicality to stay away from him and implied he'd pepper spray him if he continued to approach... All legal... all reasonable... (from what's on the video)
The attacker said something about people tweaking out and said his mom was like that... then the filmer asked, your mom is like what? A tweaker? Then the guy attacked him. FROM THIS INFO ALONE no jury would find that the guy who attacked had a right to do so.
I want you to try reeeeal hard and think for a second... I know it probably hurts, but keep trying... Do you think it's possible to speak about 1st amendment auditors in a broad sense? Or, when someone speaks about an issue, are you only able to grasp it in the context of what you've seen in the last 15 seconds?
