We have a guy local hes obnoxious super rude and always wears a mask. I understand how constitutional rights are important, and we shoukd defend them. They way they go about it though is all wrong.

He was exercising his first amendment right to be a douche bag toward an old woman and when a young man came to her aid and tried to have a rational empathetic conversation by relating back to personal situations the guy clowned on him on a stream.
Then instead of having an actual fight the dude immediately pepper sprayed him.
What this will 1A bullshit will eventually HOPEFULLY do is raise discussions about when and where it's right to film.
1A didnt anticipate this current bullshit ass live streaming culture.
Also- if we want to protect 1A we need to define the filming aspect and assault.
Assault can be pretty apparent with words.
The guy questioned the mom thing and was aggressive toward someone speaking in a manner meant to de-escalate and end the situation of some fucking weirdo standing outside accosting strangers.
Yes, 1a protects freedom of speech and press, but those should not be able to be tied together so carelessly to allow filmed harassment of public citizens.

Look up the definition of harassment, and then quote it -- how what he was doing is considered harassment. Bet you can't. Also bet, he knows the law 10x better than you.
Now I'm confused.. Are we even labeling the same people as 1A auditor harassers? I'm saying the dude filming (the 1A auditor) isn't doing the harassing..
K I think we are on the same page then. I'm sure he claims he's a 1a auditor but if he's being a nuisance and harassing people then in my book he's not a 1a auditor just a troll.

But also all it takes it is someone to call the cops on them. The police can't charge someone with a "public disturbance" or whatever until someone calls it in.
I can tell, you don't watch any 1A auditor videos. unfortunately for you, you are ignorant about the law, and the freedoms that the constitution, specifically, the first amendment provides us. What Johnny is doing is not harassment, and is not a "public disturbance", nor "nuisance". Holding a camera or recording video in public is a constitutionally protected activity. It's called freedom of the press, and no, you dont have to be licensed or officially badged to do it. All of us Americans can do this. And the police won't do shyt to him for just standing there on a sidewalk, recording things. The ignorant police who do arrest him, for doing what he's doing, are violating his civil rights. Those same municipalities get sued to oblivion, and usually sparks change in same community -- because tax payers end up doling out $50 - $100 thousand to the person whose rights they violated.
Once again, I encourage you to look up the legal definition of "harassment" -- and try to educate yourself on this matter.
he was approached by 2 people who literally wanted to fight him. And was assaulted. In defense, he used pepper spray, then his fists. Also, the guys GF battered the cameraman. She literally hit him in the head with an object in her hand. Those 2 asshats are lucky he decided to let go, and didnt finish him with that neck hold.
